Three Songs for High Voice (Bb3 - G5) and Piano on poetry by Donna Henderson. The first to arrive in collaborations with Donna. In contrast to the stylistic breadth of the companion piece Delve, Liminals are consistent in their expression of liminal space--magical places between the tangible and the spirit ("Trail through the trees" and "Loon on a late-June lake"; but also the space between remembering and forgetting, understanding and confusion, brought on by the pain of loss ("So Many Shadows").
