Lily of Force (2008) for Soprano Saxophone, Vibraphone, Bass (Upright or Electric), and Piano...named after the Alexander Calder mobile of the same name. Lily is one of my very first hybrid compositions-- based on modes and rhythmic cycle, utilizing an ensemble typically associated with a jazz combo--and as of 2024, a model for nearly every piece I've written since then.
